What is diamond microdermabrasion?

Microdermabrasion is a controlled, mechanical ablation of the uppermost layer of the skin using small crystals (aluminium oxide, salt and microfine sand). The tiny crystals are blasted at the skin at a very high speed and reabsorbed by a vacuum. The working principle is similar to sandblasting.

How does it work?

Dermabrasion results in a short-term fresh and youthful appearance of the treated skin. The result is immediately visible, giving the skin a smoother, rosier appearance with large pores appearing more refined.

How long do the results last?

In order to achieve the best possible result, a course of at least 6 treatments is necessary. The individual treatments should be performed at intervals of one week. After the treatment course, we advise to have a single touch-up treatment every four weeks to maintain the achieved result.

What are the risks?

Microdermabrasion should not be performed on people who suffer from inflammatory changes of the skin such as rosacea or acne as there is a risk of spreading the bacteria.
